কবিতাটির বঙ্গানুবাদ :
পর্বত আর কাঠবিড়ালের মধ্যে
একটা ঝগড়া বেধেছিল :
প্রথমজন পরেরজনকে ডেকেছিল
'ক্ষুদে দাম্ভিক' বলে
যার উত্তরে বান বলেছিল,
সন্দেহহীনভাবে তুমি বিশাল
তবে সব ধরনের জিনিস আর আবহকে
অবশ্যই একসঙ্গে নিতে হবে
তবেই হবে একটা বছর
এবং একটি গোলক।
আর আমার মনে হয়
আমার জায়গা দখল করায়
অসম্মানের কিছু নেই।
আমি যদি তোমার মতো বড়ো নাও হই
তুমিও তো আমার মতো ছোটো নও
অথবা আমার অর্ধেক প্রাণচঞ্চল
অস্বীকার করি না যে কাঠবিড়ালদের
সুন্দর দৌড়পথ তুমিই বানাও
তবে মেধারা তো ভিন্নই হয় এবং
সবই সুন্দর ও বিচক্ষণ ভাবে রাখা;
আমি যদি অরণ্যকে আমার পিঠে
বইতে না পারি তাহলে তুমিও তো
একটা বাদামও ভাঙতে পারো না।

Dear Anjali,
Hope you are doing fine. I received your letter last morning. In the letter you have mentioned that your result of Half-yearly exam is out and you did not score good marks in History and Geography. I would advise you not to follow the school text books only but also to do reference work from other books as well. You can easily visit the library that is near your home at least twice a week. They have
very good collection of books. You must become a member of that library. You can also take story books from there. Reading story books will help you to increase your vocabulary. In your next letter I would like to hear that you have already taken membership of the library and have also started doing reference work for your studies.

BENEFITS OF EARLY MORNING EXERCISE
There is a proverb which says - "Early to bed early to rise, makes a man healthy and wise." Just waking up early in the morning does not suffice. We should properly utilise it; and to start a day with some physical exercises is a great idea. Doing some free-hand exercise or jogging early in the morning is good for our health. There is not much pollution then and very few people are found on the road. Exercising early in the morning gives a positive start to the day that inspires one to keep up the good work. It makes a person feel energized the whole day. It also increases the body's metabolism rate. Thus daily morning exercise is very much essential and must be followed strictly by us.
