Sub: Reckless driving of vehicles
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to express my concern about the problems faced by commuters due to reckless driving of vehicles. It is high time that proper steps are taken to put a stop to this nuisance in the streets of our thickly populated city. Many people including children became victims to such reckless driving. Private buses try to overtake each other and as a result many fatal accidents occur. A few days ago I witnessed an incident where a woman and her son narrowly escaped from being run over by a car going at a very high speed. I would like to emphasize that the police must strictly enforce regulations regarding speed limit to put a stop to reckless driving so that the lives of the citizens are not put at risk.
Yours sincerely.
